Patel Food — Privacy Policy

Patel Food is a private app for sharing restaurant ratings, dishes, photos, and orders within a family group. It is not a public social network.

What we collect

• Account information: the first name you sign up with and a password (stored securely by our authentication provider; we never see your password).
• Content you add: restaurants, dish names, star ratings, comments, notes, saved orders, check-ins, and food photos. This content is visible to the other members of your family group.
• Push token: if you allow notifications, a device token used solely to deliver in-app requests (such as "rate this order").

What we don't collect

• No advertising identifiers, no analytics trackers, no third-party data sharing.
• Your location is used on-device only (to suggest nearby restaurants when you add one) and is never transmitted to our servers.

Where data lives

Data is stored with Supabase (our database and photo-storage provider) and is accessible only to authenticated members of the family group. Photos are stored so the family can view them in the app.

Deleting your data

You can permanently delete your account at any time from inside the app: open the Account screen (tap your profile icon) and choose Delete Account. This immediately and permanently deletes your account, profile, ratings, comments, check-ins, and push tokens. Shared family content you added (restaurants, dishes, photos, orders) remains for the group but is no longer linked to you.

Content can also be removed in the app by the group's administrator. If you need help, contact us at the email below.
